Super mario galaxy 2 wii system update

Hi

My cyclowiz chip stopped working a while ago (I don't know why, just won't play copied games anymore) and i haven't really touched my wii since. I bought super mario galaxy 2 today, and it requires me to perform a wii system update before I can play the game. I was just wondering if it's safe to update.

Also, if i remove the chip, will my wii be back to normal...as in even after all the cyclowiz updates etc.....

Never mind I found other threads on the same topic lol
I updated it and everything seems to be fine

But i would still greatly appreciate any help for my 2nd question
