I bought my CycloDS card from techwizad sometime in 2009, not sure exactly when, so I'll share my experience.

I bought a CycloDS Evolution with 4gb sdhc memory card from techwizad which arrived a little after expected but I wasn't that bothered. The card was in perfect condition, the problem was the memory card, it was corrupted before I even used it, thinking about it now it was probably internal damage as the outside looked fine. I tried a recovery program I had lying around my desktop, I wasn't expecting it to work to be honest so I started typing an email outlining the problem and sent it when it failed. The day after I sent it I got the first and only email from them saying that they would try to help with the problem. Nothing happened for a few days so I sent another email, which was answered with nothing. 6 weeks of constant emails with no answers I decided to give up and just buy another memory card which, if I had done this in the first place, would have worked out cheaper and MUCH faster.

From the way it looks I'm assuming I got lucky, delivery wasn't that bad but customer services kinda implies that you actually get service doesn't it? Makes you wonder though, the CycloDS was fine but the memory card wasn't, so, what were you doing to the card?
And don't bother trying to fix the problem, I did that LOOOONG ago.

I live quite nearby but no way I'd go knocking for anyone else's orders except my own haha.

I'm quite suprised. I bought my CycloDS Evolution from Techwizad back in January 2009 as the site was listed as an official retailer. and it came pretty quickly (I got my DS for christmas, so remember the time of year). I then ordered 2 more the next christmas, for my mum and my sister, since I was sick of them pinching mine haha. They took a few weeks to come but arrived in perfect nick and all was fine. I presumed that the delay was due to a christmas rush and didn't think too much of it.

Anyways, the other day my friend is finally caving and buying is a DS, and he and wants an evolution after being impressed with mine. From this, I noticed that Techwizad had been taken off the retailer list. I thought that was odd. Will definately tell him to go somewhere else after reading these threads.

I wonder what happened to the company. How bizarre that older reviews (and my experience) seems to be good, but it all goes downhill from there. If something genuinely isnt in stock why not just put it on back order rather than upsetting so many customers?!

Default To add my experiences (been waiting for nearly two months)

I have used TechWizad four times now, purchasing six CycloDS cards (for various family members and friends), and trying to purchase a seventh.

Successful orders were placed between January 2008 and June 2009, and the latest order (placed on June 26) is yet to be received.

I have sent numerous emails to the website trying to find out what is going on, and after weeks of trying I finally received the following response (the only one received to date):



"This is an automated message.
Techwizad.com is undergoing redesign and will reopen in September. All orders received are in the process of being shipped, this includes orders returned due to non collection in May and returns. We will reply to your enuiry as soon as possible.

Kind regards

Techwizad Team"



I know that its partially my own fault as I should have looked online before placing the latest order, but having had many orders placed, and completed, successfully in the past I had no reason to suspect anything would go wrong with this one.

I have now spoken to my credit card company and they have initiated a refund to my card, and having waited nearly two months for the final part of his birthday present my son now has to wait even longer for another order to be placed with another vendor in the UK.

Does anyone know what is going on with Techwizad?
Does anyone have any suggestions of who else to use?

To anyone who has been scammed. I thoroughly recommend you contact your bank

I did it. They sent me a form for me to fill in, and a few weeks later I received the money that they stole from me.

Default It's a shame

It's a company I've used many times before, all with no problems, but it just seems like they've curled up and died leaving nothing but a website taking money and an automated email fobbing customers off.

I certainly will not be using them ever again and I suggest everyone else steers well clear.

I agree am thinking of reporting to trading standards or watchdog because this is just not fair over a month i ordered nothing if i don't get nothing by the end of september trust me its going 2 be bye bye techwizad :@
